Ty Jade I owe you my life. While there's nothing graphic or anything like that, death and topics relating to it do come up, so even if this is a bit short I'll put it under a read-more to be safe.

Okay so for a lettol bit of context: Mori is an OC I have for the Black Jack series. He's a mortician, so this means he deals with and works in the funeral industry. Having said that, I'd say he's a bit more of a realist? Tentatively a positive realist. He's someone who looks at a situation as it is, who won't shy away from any struggles, but will at least try to offer some form of comfort and/or find a positive if possible. He tends to be very patient (or as much as he can be when dealing with irritating clients), very understanding, and tries his best to keep a level head. I don't think he subscribes to any one particular religion, so he's agnostic in that regard, but he does believe in an afterlife. A bit hard not to when you can see the spirits of the dead, but I digress. Additionally, because of his occupation as a mortician, he tends to be more open about death. He won't get into the gory details, no, but he's not going to shy away from or sugar coat the topic either. Death is a part of life. A particularly important, inevitable one, which is why he advocates for figuring out any funeral arrangements sooner rather than later, and to involve your loved ones in the process if possible. Avoiding the topic can often do more harm than good, and may cause more grief down the line. Hell, it's why he can never agree with sacrificing quality of life for a few more precious moments. Even if the sentiment is understandable to a point, it's a losing battle. It just puts off the inevitable. ... There's times some people need a reminder of this.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

WRONG! He is a suspect and we should treat him as such. He should be treated as innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. He’s a person of interest not the killer. I don’t care what the media or authorities are saying, he’s a human being who deserves a fair trial and deserves to be treated as innocent until proven otherwise.
